Expert in the Indian language "Snchitsu'umshtsn", who was considered a hero in his Coeur d'Alene Indian tribe for his efforts to preserve the tribal language, and who during World War II wrote the newsletter "DeSmet Morning Star" for members of the tribe both at home and serving in the armed forces, died June 17th in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at the age of 94.
